Writing Using Character Analysis

In this 4-day lesson, 9th grade students will explore a variety of literary texts and relate them to their own lives and the lives of others. Students will also create an original narrative poem in iambic pentameter based on one of the characters in Romeo and Juliet. The poem should have at least twenty couplets and contain the meter of Shakespeare's iambic pentameter. This lesson is part of our mini-site, "Exploring Romeo and Juliet."
